So one thing that I have struggled with since my teen years is acne. Now to be fair, I didn’t have insanely horrible acne, but it was still pretty bad and it ruined my self esteem. In fact, even to this day I struggle with self esteem issues because of my skin and to this day I still struggle with acne.
That’s why I thought I would go on the hunt for some tips of how you can prevent break-outs and acne. Not only for my own benefit, but for anyone else who is struggling as much as I am.
This is what I found:
Firstly, it is vital that you wash your face, mostly twice a day. Iif you’ve got sensitive or dry skin, you might not want to use a cleanser in the mornings AND evenings and instead simply use some micellar water in the mornings and a cleanser at night. Either way, it’s important to clean your face regularly, and that includes making 100% sure you always wash off all and any trace of make up before going to bed.
Then, eat healthy. Your Diet plays an important role in triggering acne and keeping it away. So, Avoid deep fried, processed and packaged food. Also, it might sound strange, but some people can fight acne by simply avoiding dairy…so try it and see if it helps.
And lastly, Keep yourself well-hydrated. Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day, because apart from preventing acne, it can also help you give a glowing skin.
With that said, at the end of the day, even these tricks can only do so much for someone with severe acne.
That’s why, if you have tried multiple home remedies for acne that have failed to show results, then visit a dermatologist.
Doing this is important as acne can be treated and cured. You don’t have to live with it for the rest of your life…that’s what dermatologist are for!
