Floods displace hundreds in northern Namibia

Heavy rains in northern Namibia are causing severe flooding in the Ohangwena and Oshana regions. The floodwaters, partly coming from southern Angola, have forced hundreds of residents to flee their homes. Windhoek woman loses N$60,000 to fraudsters

A 56-year-old woman was defrauded of N$60,000 in Klein Windhoek. Police allege that the complainant received a phone call from an unknown male suspect who posed as a representative of Bank Windhoek. Under the pretense of assisting with a banking matter, the suspect manipulated the complainant into revealing her personal banking information.
