The Motor Industry Staff Association has called on South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority to trace and recover assets linked to the Bosasa corruption scandal, including those held overseas. The call follows a High Court order in Pretoria directing former Bosasa executive Angelo Agrizzi to repay 1.6 billion rand to the state. MISA says authorities should also identify assets held by others who received or benefited from bribes linked to the scandal. The association’s spokesperson, Phakamile Hlubi-Majola, says everyone who benefited from the corruption must be held accountable. She says recovering the assets is necessary to ensure that those who profited from the scandal do not keep the proceeds.
