ECN Chief Electoral and Referenda Officer Peter Shaama said Namibia continues to uphold a strong democratic record, but voter participation in local and regional elections remains lower than in national polls.

The commission has also confirmed that 22,245 persons with disabilities have registered to vote in the upcoming elections. ECN Director of Operations Zenia Klazen said preparations are in their final stages, with the announcement of final results expected between 29 and 30 November—or earlier if all vote counts are verified.
