People gathered at Heroes’ Acre on Saturday to witness the final farewell of the late Founding President, Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma. During the solemn ceremony, Bishop Zephaniah Kameeta urged the nation to unite in Nujoma’s honor, calling for an end to political and tribal divisions. Nujoma was laid to rest in a mausoleum following a 21-gun salute, marking the nation’s tribute to his legacy. Among the international dignitaries in attendance were Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, who were seen embracing and conversing as they awaited the laying to rest of Namibia’s first president.
