Noah Kahan – “Smoking W**d” to “Climbing Trees”

Noah Kahan, the guy who sings “Stick Season…”  

I’m really liking his stuff… My GF is great at finding new artists and all credit to her, his music has been playing in our home for a while now, and when he started hitting the world stage… well-deserved Mr. Kahan on blowing up! 

And his success, unlike so many others, seems to have NOT gone to his head! 

Noah Kahan recently visited a children’s hospital, to sing for the sick kiddo’s! 

In my mind, I would think he would sing children’s songs… “Baa Baa Black Sheep” or “Mary Had a Little Lamb!” 

But credit to kids these days, their fingers are on the pulse of what’s going on in music! So if Noah Kahan shows up, he BETTER be playing “Stick Season!” 

There is a lyrical issue with the song though… Noah sings about Marijuana use, and drinking alcohol… 

Perhaps not the most kid-friendly lyrics? 

But bless his heart, did he not go and change them when he performed for the sick kids!  

Instead of “Smoking Weed” he sang “Climbing Trees” and replaced “Drink alcohol” with “Drink Applesauce!” 

And while the kids may be none the wiser, the parents, judging by the laughs and giggles knew the lyrics were being changed!
