Yango Ride has launched a new safety feature that uses matching four-digit PIN codes for passengers and drivers. Passengers must provide the code to their driver before the ride begins, helping ensure they enter the correct vehicle. In a statement, the ride hailing service says this also includes personalized safety checklists, route sharing with trusted contacts, SOS access, and monitoring of driving style and speed, highlighting Yango Ride’s commitment to secure and reliable journeys. Chisom Anoke, Director of Operations for Anglophone Africa, said the feature strengthens trust and makes every ride safer.
