Windhoek terror thugs arrested

At least five notorious Windhoek robbers were arrested on Tuesday afternoon.

Namibian police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi confirmed that the suspects are all wanted in connection with four armed robberies and a murder.

Shikwambi said that Elias Haifete (39) is responsible for  the murder of 39 year old Fiina Nghifikwa in Wanaheda, Kigali Street last week.

The other arrested suspects include Simon Lukas, also known as Bigshow, Lotto Haindongo, Pinias Haiduwa, also known as Bokie and Amon Hainkali.

Big show is out on bail for the 2023 murder of Patrick Hawala Hamupunda also known as Waka, who was stabbed and shot to death at a residence in Katutura.

All the suspects are also wanted in connection with armed robberies which include two Namcor service stations, a total service station in Lafrenz and a cash in transit at Donkerkhoek Choppies.

Shikwambi said the arrests follows weeks of intensive investigations and co-ordinated intelligence led operations.
