todayNovember 17, 2025

Background

The City of Windhoek has lost N$750 million for informal settlement upgrades after failing to accept the funds and conditions. The Ministry of Urban and Rural Development redirected the allocation to other local authorities. The project targeted housing and service improvements across Samora Machel, Khomasdal, Tobias Hainyeko, Moses //Garoeb, and Windhoek Rural.
