After a resident claimed their electricity units dropped sharply from 48 to 40 for N$100, suspicions of an unnoticed tariff increase spread. Lydia Amutenya, the City’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed that no changes have been made yet, as the new rates still need regulatory approval. She reassured the public to rely only on formal announcements regarding any price changes.
