We see if it’s k*k: His & Hers

todayFebruary 5, 2026

Background

I succumbed to peer pressure… there were articles popping up left and right on the socials recommending I check out the show I’m reviewing today… so I caved and said “Fine… lemme check it out!”

Today, on “We see if it’s k*k so you don’t have to!”

HIS & HERS!

Let’s start with the plot:

  • An estranged couple, news anchor Anna and detective Jack, are investigating a murder in their small hometown of Dahlonega, Georgia. Both become prime suspects while battling personal trauma, buried secrets from a 20-year-old crime, and a killer manipulating events.

Oooh… juicy!

It’s a tricky show to review, because there are a LOT of spoilers… even the first episode ends on a “Wait WHAT!?” moment!

So let me say this… the little bit of plot we ran through, there is SO much more to it! It’s a very “twisty and turny” plot, and done in a great way, that leaves you guessing, but maybe not necessarily guessing correctly!

The characters in the show are all flawed and broken in their own way, and the show does explore that. Some of them you’ll like, some you’ll feel sympathy for, and some you’ll downright hate at times… and that is testament to how well the actors are portraying them!

Does it make sense when I say “Jon Bernthal is Jon Bernthal” in everything he does… maybe not the greatest range in an actor, but he does it well, and it works for his character!

Tessa Thompson is equally great portraying a character that seems calm on the surface, but has a LOT going on inside!

If you like to REALLY live yourself into stories like this, why not also check out the novel the show was adapted from!?

It was released in 2020 by writer Alice Feeney, and it shares the same name!

Going in, I heard there was a twist that would make M. Night Shyamalan salivate, and yes… it has a twist! And then some… but I’ll say no more!

Honestly, shows like this are not up my alley, but it was great!
