There are people in life I do not envy…

People who have the ability to fall asleep on a lilo or an inflatable tube in the pool, like a nap in the afternoon sun, is alles oraait by die huis?

How To Inflate Your Pool Float – SUNNYLiFE US

Like I get it, you’re safely in your pool, what’s the worst that can happen?

But the problem is you start getting used to it and then, napping on water could turn dangerous!

A 58-year-old man from Taiwan was on his little colourful “tjoopie” in the ocean water, nice and close to the shore, when I don’t know, maybe it was the warm sun on him, the gentle swaying of the ocean, but when he looked again, he was a little further away from the coast than he might of liked…

How far? They say a few miles off the coastline!!! OH, IS THAT ALL!? A FEW MILES!

1 mile is 1 mile too many, but that isn’t what scares me the most… it’s how long he was out on the water!!!

For 19 hours, he was out there!!!

In the ocean, all alone, most likely praying his little colourful “tjoopie” doesn’t pop!

19 hours after this whole ordeal started, a fishing vessel called the Wanli Princess 168, off on a fishing mission saw something colourful floating out on the water, and decided to check it out!

It was the old man in his “tjoopie”!

They took him to a hospital where, aside from being a little dehydrated, he was in perfect health!

Ocean lovers, you do you! I am more than happy with my feet planted firmly in the beach sand!!!
