The Punk Rock Goat!

The other day my GF asks me, have I heard about Biquette the Goat… 

I say I have not… so she sent me a post about the awesome story of Biquette the Goat.

According to Biquette’s caretaker, at a in France called communal farm Ferme de Mauriac, Biquette spent her first five years of life (2003–2008) at a milking factory.

After that, the milking factory had no use for her anymore, and they sent her over to the communal farm because “it was cheaper than a slaughterhouse”. 

So, communal farm… things and events happen there, one of those things that took place at the farm: concerts!

And that’s where Biquette the Goat found fame!  

In early 2012 photos and recordings of Singaporean grindcore band Wormrot’s who played a concert in Mauriac, started emerging… with Biquette in the front row!!!

And she was dubbed the “Punk Rock Goat!!!” 

According to Wormrot’s manager, Biquette was very tame and followed the band around “like a dog”. Biquette’s caretaker Flo said in an interview that the goat loved concerts and other gatherings of people and theorized that she liked the vibrations of the wooden floor caused by the live music. 

Now, I don’t condone this part, but apparently Biquette loved to steal and eat cigarettes and alcohol...  

It’s estimated based what type of goat Biquette was, that her lifespan of 10 years of life, was not bad for a goat with a life expectancy of 9-15 years!  

Also, MUCH higher than if she actually went to the slaughterhouse!
