There’s something we’re all using that’s ruining our skin.
The big question is: What is it???
Well, it turns out every time you use your cell-phone you are putting your skin at risk of all sorts of problems and that’s even more worrisome considering we’re basically on our cell-phones 24/7.
So why exactly are our phones bad for our skin? Here’s why…
Firstly, it can cause acne. I kid you not. See bacteria causes acne and your phone carries more bacteria than the toilet-seat handle – shocking, I know – but it’s true. Your phone isn’t exactly the cleanest thing in the world and then you go and rub your cheek against it. In that sense, it’s the equivalent of rubbing your cheek against a toilet handle.
Then, it can cause skin allergies. The next time you break out in a rash, consider that your phone could be the culprit. Research suggests that the nickel and chromium in cell-phone casings can cause a skin reaction called allergic contact dermatitis and it’s not pretty.
And thirdly, it can even cause dark spots. Long convos on the phone can heat up your phone as I’m sure you’ve noticed, and that overheating can cause major skin issues. The added heat can mess with melanin production, causing dark spots and discoloration to form.
Now these are just some of the ways your phone can wreak havoc on your skin but it can do so much more, it can even cause wrinkles, under eye circles, and aging.
So in a nutshell, if you want to be beauty and not the beast – it’s time you put down that phone my friend!
