S.A Post Office Bailout Falls Short-Diko

Background

S.A Parliament Portfolio Committee for Communications and Digital Technologies chairperson Khusela Diko, says the 150-million-rand fund allocated to the country’s Post Office is insufficient in addressing financial and operational challenges. The post office has been in business rescue since July 2023. The entity needs 3.8-billion-rand bailout to avoid liquidation. Diko acknowledges that SAPO remains in crisis with workers situation unsustainable:
