RIP to the XBOX 360 Digital Store. 

I don’t have an XBOX 360 anymore, or any XBOX console for that matter… but my goodness, how I loved the 360 I had!!!  

I think out of the console’s I have been fortunate to own in my life, the XBox 360 was the most fun! The multiplayers, the campaigns, and especially when I got the camera attachment called the Kinect… I remember feeling it the next day after using the XBOX Kinect to play Kinect Adventures!

(This picture alone gives me aching muscles!!!)

The Shutdown of the online store is not the end of the XBOX360 itself! So 360 fans, calm down!!!

Because when it comes to backwards compatibility and game preservation Microsoft (XBOX parent company) is probably the best of the major companies!  

So while you may have lost hundreds of XBOX 360 games on the online store, a large percentage of the back catalogue can still be played on the later consoles, if you’re lucky enough to have one.

*Cough Cough PLAYSTATION Cough Cough* 

A large plus, is that when the XBOX 360 came out, we still had proper shops where you could go in, and buy games, so the average person I know didn’t even have to go online to get a game! 

XBOX, what a legacy the 360 Online Store has!!! The 360 (and the store) saw light in 2005!!! How crazy is it it that the Xbox 360 Marketplace lasted almost 20 years… 

So fear not, all those games can STILL be played on your beloved console! You just need to find physical copies of the ones you don’t have! And with that, I will leave you this piece of advice:

• As someone who loves going to second hand stores, trust me when I say: Those neon green xbox 360 covers are EVERYWHERE!!!
