Alicia Dobson - Blank Lunch w/ Yanika

Namibia has joined the global community in observing International Youth Day under the theme “Young Workers Organising for Democracy, Justice and a Better Future.” A new report by political scientist Christiaan Keulder reveals that while youth voter turnout and digital activism are on the rise, significant economic, cultural, and institutional barriers continue to restrict full participation. The report will be unveiled at YouthQuake Namibia 2025, taking place on 15 August in Windhoek.
The upcoming YouthQuake event, hosted by the Namibia Media Trust, is expected to spark deeper conversations on how to empower young Namibians through access to information, civic education, and policy engagement. The Trust’s Director of Marketing, Zoé Titus had this to add.
