MobLand – We see if its k*k

WE SEE IF IT’S K*K SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO!!!

If you’re a fan of proper London Gangster movies and series, then oh boy, we have something for you!!! 

MOBLAND! 

A quick look at the plot: 

• MobLand is a London-based crime drama featuring a brutal war between the powerful Harrigan family and their rivals, the Stevensons, sparked after a nightclub incident. Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy), a street-smart fixer, must protect the Harrigans and manage the chaos, navigating intense family, police, and criminal pressures.   

That’s right, Tom Hardy plays the main character, Harry Da Souza! And honestly, he is cast perfectly as the guy that “sorts things out” for an organized crime family!!!  

Brooding, intimidating, downright scary at times, and of course moments of quick wit and humour that only the British can deliver! 

He, along with the rest of the cast perfectly deliver! 

Speaking of the rest of the cast… 2 big names (along with Hardy) are Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren! 

I love them!  

Here’s the thing, they portray the leaders of the Harrigan Crime Family, and they portray them so well, playing these horrible (I want to say) monsters, that I almost left every episode hating them! THAT is how great they are in this show! 

But the cast as a whole… just wow! You feel sympathy for same, dislike for others, and don’t be surprised if you find giving a little smile should someone “kick it…” 

The soundtrack is also awesome, and it’s no surprise, since Muse frontman Matt Bellamy teamed up with composer Ilan Eshkeri to work their magic! Opening the show with the theme song is “Starburster” by Fontaines DC! 

If like me, you burn through MobLand super quick, you’re going to have to hang on… Season 2 is only coming later on in 2026! 

Also worth mentioning: If you live with someone who is sensitive to violence, bad language, more violence, even more bad language, and even MORE bad language, it’s best to ask them to go for a walk, when watching MobLand!
