Man dies in fire at Otjimbingwe

A 37-year-old man dvied on Saturday in a house fire at Otjimbingwe.

According to Erongo police spokesperson Judith senior inspector Judith Shomongula, the victim, Levi Daniel Tsowaseb, who lived with his girlfriend at Aru-ais, returned home from drinking with his friends at around 00h32.

The girlfriend cooked food for him and went to sleep at her mother’s house to avoid their regular fights.

She was later woken up by people informing her that her boyfriend burned beyond recognition, after locking himself in the house.

His next of kin were informed.

The body was transported to Usakos state mortuary.
