Like… We have time for this…
Need to kill some time on social media, well Instagram has hidden an emoji-based game within the direct messaging feature of their smartphone app — and people are beginning to notice it.
The new feature allows users to play a game of pong in the app’s direct message section.
The feature is available to users around the world and comes after the Meta-owned platform enabled users to edit messages, pin chats, and see read receipts.
Here’s how it works:
Step One: Open the direct message section on the app and click on one of your friends.
Step Two: Send any emoji you want to use to said friend.
Step Three: Tap the emoji once (don’t hold it in) and see it become a bouncy ball.
Step Four: Use the slider below to block the emoji and score points.
We tried it ourselves and loved it!
BTW: If you can’t access the game, ensure you have the latest version of the Instagram app on your Android or iOS device.
