Alicia Dobson - Blank Lunch w/ Yanika

The Ministry of Health and Social Services has moved to reassure the public that the country has sufficient HIV test kits in stock, following concerns raised on social media about possible shortages.
According to the ministry, the country currently has between two and three months of Colloidal Gold screening kits available, while a larger 11-month supply order is expected to arrive within the next 12 weeks. Unigold confirmatory kits are stocked for six months, and Sure-Check supplies remain available and are being redistributed to facilities where pressure on stock levels has been reported.
Ministry spokesperson Walters Kamaya said the public can be assured that critical health services will continue uninterrupted. He acknowledged temporary stock pressure at some facilities but emphasised that mitigation and fast-tracking orders are already in progress.

The ministry says short-term measures and accelerated procurement processes have been activated to prevent any disruption to HIV testing services. It adds that efforts are underway to strengthen the long-term reliability of medical supply systems countrywide.
