Executive directors – 7 out of 18 are women

Seven out of 18 executive directors announced today are women.

Some enlarged ministries have two executive directors, but only one of the two has executive functions.

Executive directors list

  1. Gladice Pickering from Justice to Prime Minister’s Office
  2. Ben Nangombe from health ministry to mines and energy
  3. Ester Kaapanda from works ministry to mines and energy without accounting functions
  4. Annely Haipheme from fisheries to Defence Ministry
  5. Wilhelmina Shivute from defence to urban development
  6. Titus Ndove from the finance ministry to works and transport
  7. Lydia Indombo from labour ministry to gender equality
  8. Michael Humavindu, executive director of the National Planning Commission to the finance ministry
  9. Ambassador Penda Naanda, executive director of international relations and trade
  10. Ndiitah Nghipondoka-Robiati, from gender to international relations and trade, will be without accounting functions for the remainder of her contract.
  11. Erastus Haitengera from sports, youth and national service to education, innovation, youth, sports, arts and culture
  12. Gerard Vries from higher education, innovation, youth, sports, arts and culture without accounting functions
  13. Sikongo Haihambo, from industrialisation and trade to environment, forestry and tourism
  14. Ndiyakupi Nghituwamata from agriculture, water and land reform to agriculture, fisheries, water and land reform
  15. Teofelus Nghitila from the environment, forestry and tourism to agriculture, fisheries, water and land reform without accounting functions
  16. Penda Ithindi, from mines and energy to health and social services
  17. Nghidinua Daniel from urban development to justice and labour relations
  18. I-Ben Nashandi from Prime Minister’s Office to National Planning Commission
