While Namibian consumers are waiting for the announcement of the November fuel price, the price of Brent crude slipped more than 1% this morning after Iranian and Qatari officials held a third straight day of talks aimed at pushing for a deal to end the US-Israeli war on Iran. Local analysts have predicted a hold on any increases this month, but the price of Brent has climbed by almost 10% during the last 30 days. Moreover, international traders say the market remains alert to the possibility that rhetoric around Iran could ‌be ratcheted higher and push Brent toward US$120 after the American midterm elections set down for Tuesday.
