The 2025 Nedbank Desert Dash Is Almost Here Lunch w/ Yanika
If you thought Sabrina Carpenter was all sweetness and pop flair, think again. Her brand-new single “Tears”, from the album Man’s Best Friend, is shaking things up—and we’re here to unpack everything you need to know.
Sabrina’s journey from Disney star to edgy pop auteur has been wild—in the best way. Over the years, she’s blended sharp humor, emotional honesty, and disco-pop flair, evolving into a fearless creator who knows exactly what she stands for.
Released on August 29, 2025, “Tears” is the sultry, dance-pop second single off her seventh studio album Man’s Best Friend. Produced by Sabrina alongside John Ryan and penned with Amy Allen and others, it blends disco vibes with modern pop sensibilities.
Lyrically, Sabrina hilariously elevates everyday gestures into irresistible allure.
She sings about how doing the dishes, emotional maturity, and even using your phone properly can be the ultimate turn-on. It’s tongue-in-cheek, bold, funny—and undeniably catchy.
The crisp, cinematic video premiered alongside the song and album, channeling glam horror vibes inspired by The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Directed by Bardia Zeinali, the clip opens with Sabrina emerging from a car crash, stepping into a twisted world where Colman Domingo appears in drag and she finds herself in a surreal cabaret with dancing drag queens and even a pole routine in a cornfield.
And yes, you read that right—multiple alternate endings were released over several days, each taking the drama to a new theatrical level. Colman Domingo later addressed and dismissed criticism of his drag role, reminding fans that drag is all about artistic play and self-expression.
Sabrina even celebrated the video’s release with a cheeky, unforgettable party at a cemetery—because only she could host a “kill men” themed bash following a drag-horror music video and make it vibe so well.
Of course, “Tears” is now gracing The Hype Hotlist Countdown—Radiowave’s hottest 40 tracks of the week.
