If there’s one thing you can count on with Ed Sheeran, it’s that he always comes back sounding fresh — and with “A Little More,” he does exactly that. This week’s Behind the Hype dives into what’s next for Ed, his evolution as an artist, and what makes this new single stand out.

From Small Gigs to Global Stardom

Ed’s rise to fame wasn’t overnight. He started with late-night gigs in London, grinding away in small venues and on YouTube, eventually earning the praise of industry legends like Elton John.  Since then, he’s exploded into one of the world’s most streamed artists — owning a catalog that blends heartfelt acoustics, sharp lyrics, and that signature loop-pedal magic.

A New Chapter: Play + “A Little More”

Ed is stepping into a fresh era with his upcoming album Play, set to release on September 12, 2025. Before this, he teased us with tracks like Azizam and Sapphire, and now he delivers the fourth single: “A Little More”, released August 7, 2025.

A slick blend of blues-tinged pop and lyrical boldness, the song was penned with collaborators like Dave, Blake Slatkin, Cirkut, and Johnny McDaid, with production by Slatkin and Cirkut. Lyrically, it cuts deep — lines like “life got better when I lost you / but every day I hate you just a little more” hint at buried tensions, delivered with that classic Sheeran vulnerability and flair.

The Video: A Delightfully Chaotic Sequel

Remember Lego House? That beloved Ed video where Rupert Grint played a superfan who couldn’t get enough? Well, they’re back — and it just gets weirder and better.

In the official video, Grint’s character is released from prison only to be haunted at every turn by Ed — from a security guard to a wedding guest (even a bride!), with over 250 outfit changes, all thrifted and sustainable. It’s absurd, hilarious, and visually hilarious — the chaos is intentional, and it’s a blast to watch.

What Fans Are Saying

Fans are loving this reunion — one Redditor put it perfectly:

“This is the most Ed’s been in a video.”
