The Namibia University Science & Technology(NUST) and MTC, in collaboration with the Namibia Investment and Finance Academy (NIFA), on Tuesday launched Namibia’s and Africa’s first Bloomberg Finance Lab on the NUST campus.

The lab is a significant step towards enhancing financial literacy, professional training, and investment skills development across Namibia.

NUST acting vice-chancellor for reasearch, innovation and partnership Colin Stanley said the Bloomberg Finance Lab is more than just a cutting-edge technology but a hub of transformation, a space where students, policymakers and industry leaders can harness the power of real-time financial data.

Namibia Investment and Finance Academy Chief Executive Officer, Arinze Okafor said the lab serves as an invitation to industry leaders, government, and academia to collaborate in developing a future-ready financial sector

Equipped with 12 Bloomberg Terminals, the lab positions NUST alongside more than 1 000 academic institutions worldwide that integrate this leading technology into their curriculum.
