Independent Patriots for Change Member of Parliament Milunga Lizazi has raised concerns over a presidential proclamation allowing the President to approve the Speaker of the National Assembly’s leave of absence. Lizazi, the party’s shadow minister for justice and labour relations, argued that there is no legal basis for President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah to exercise such powers.
