Health Minister, Esperance Luvindao
Newly appointed Minister of Health and Social Services, Esperance Luvindao, is prioritising digital health solutions as a means to address the country’s long-standing healthcare access challenges, especially in rural areas.
The Minister says digital platforms, such as telemedicine, mobile consultations, and electronic health records, could play a transformative role in reaching communities underserved by traditional health infrastructure. This push aligns with national efforts to modernise public service delivery through technology and respond to the growing demand for accessible, affordable, and efficient healthcare.
Commenting on the initiative, Green Enterprise Solutions Managing Director Kehad Snydewel welcomed the move, saying the private sector must also be part of the journey.
Luvindao’s strategy is expected to be integrated into the country’s broader eHealth framework, which aims to digitise patient care, streamline services, and reduce strain on physical facilities, especially those in remote regions.
More details on implementation timelines and partnerships are expected in the coming weeks.
