Over the weekend of April 25-27, the desert came alive with the magic of BARHP 2025, set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of Spitzkoppe. Around 800 beautiful souls gathered beneath the granite peaks, where dust met disco, and the soundtrack of the weekend pulsed with pure joy.

The lineup was stacked: Digital Sangoma delivered a Saturday sunset set so electrifying it quite literally altered brain chemistry – cotton candy clouds framing every beat. Sets by Da Capo, Ryan Hill, A Gulp’s Worth and Cameron Hart amongst many others, kept the dancefloor warm deep into the star-soaked nights.

But BARHP was about more than music. It was movement. It was colour. It was self-expression – wild, free, and absolutely fabulous. From fluid dance circles to fashion that turned the desert into a runway, every person brought something radiant to the rocks.

There was something holy about watching strangers become family, sharing shade, stories, and sunscreen. And when the music paused, the silence of Spitzkoppe reminded us we were dancing on ancient land – grateful, grounded, and glowing.

Until next year, BARHP. You were pure desert alchemy.
