ANOTHER JURASSIC PARK!? WHY!!?

Let’s rewind the clock… 

It’s the early 90’s! I’m a small child on my way to go watch a film my most favourite thing in the world…DINOSAURS!!!

Jurassic Park changed my life! And then, WHAT!? A sequel!? Heck yes!!! 1997’s The Lost World! Fantastic!

And then oh, another one? Do we need it?

2001’s Jurassic Park 3… How bad was that? Remember that stupid dream sequence with the Velociraptor with the porcupine quills on it’s head saying “Alan?” AWFUL!!!

And then just when we thought we were free from bad sequels, we got:

• Jurassic World – 2015
• Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
• Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

Ugh… But finally… we had peace! Until the other day…

Jurassic World Rebirth was announced! But why? Can the franchise not be like the dinosaurs, and stay dead!!!

• Scarlett Johansson stars as a covert operative. She is hired to work with Dr. Henry Loomis and team leader Duncan Kincaid on a top-secret mission. Their goal is to locate the three largest creatures within the tropics and acquire their DNA, which contains the key to a drug that will miraculously save human lives. The team crosses paths with a civilian family whose boating adventure was overturned by an attack of roving aquatic dinosaurs, leaving them all stranded on an island. Once the site of Jurassic Park’s research laboratory, the group discovers that the island is home to failed, mutated dinosaurs which have thrived there for decades.

It kind of feels like they took the plot from all the previous movies, along with some other bogus ones, and mooshed them together…

And the mutated dinosaurs… WHY!? Are dinosaurs not awesome enough? Like… what even is this thing:

It looks like King Kong and a Xenomorph had a child:

I think deep down, I just hold onto the original film WAY too much, kind of like trying to protect it’s legacy, so I almost take it personally when yet ANOTHER sequel is announced!

Time however will tell if the sequel will be worth it.

That said, even I have to admit, the new trailer looks HELLA COOL! Watch below:
