Right, I've been asked about my nicknames many times before and here they are in no particular order: Lopey, Soutie and Bles..Some girls call me "Big Pimp Daddy" but thats only on the weekends between 1:32am and 4:46am... Dont ask!!
People who meet me socially ask "How do you NOT swear on air as you seem to be a sailor on dry land with no ship, BUT you still swear like one" And I say: "I do, it just slips through the cracks..." and lets face it, ANYTHING slipping through ANY crack, can be very very funny!
This is by far the best job I've ever had, believe me, I've had some stinkers... but working in a pool hall in Cape Town as a bar tender was pretty much the most dismal. That and dishing out Clothes tags for changerooms at Edgars in the old days...Really?
Behind the scenes I'm pretty much a family guy, trying to juggle work and my family, trying to stay fit , keep a positive mindset and belive that Yes!, You CAN!!!!
I rock my iPod at any given opportunity and love listening to music of any genre. I like the good old days of music where Metallica were king, but really enjoy ALOT of talent coming out of the USA, SA, AND THE UK of late. SA have really come to party and I must say that there are some cooking bands clawing their way onto our playlist and not just because they’re from SA either, they have a really dynamic sound.
Follow me on @Namillagorilla for all things ME!
I do the Waking Crew every weekday morning with my co-host and LONG TIME Co Hort: “SPANKY”. We go back quite a-ways and used to do the Waking Crew back in the early 2000’s. We are older, gnarlier and weirdly enough, prettier!! You have to see us to belive it!
Catch you in the mornings,
Keep it real and stay strong.
