The Hunters United Against Poaching, HUAP Trust, herewith cordially invites you to the official opening of our Anti-Poaching Fundraising Auction and Gala kicking off with the sculpting of a life sized rhino at the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre on Monday, 24 July, at 11h00. The Honourable Pohamba Shifeta, Minister of Environment and Tourism, will address the public with opening remarks, followed by live entertainment of Namibian legend Elemotho.

16 September: National Cancer Walk

On Saturday, 16 September, CAN hosts the 2017 National Cancer Walk, powered by Radiowave 96.7fm and project partners.  The walk will start at 07h30 in several towns throughout the country to support the theme:  “Walk cancer out of Namibia!” 

The tickets for the cancer walk are a N$75 donation per person, and all participants receive a lovely eco-friendly recycled wood gift, that can be used as both a medallion or key ring.

Radiowave gets a tour at Namibia Breweries

The Radiowave team were treated to a Namibian Breweries tour on Wednesday the 27th of April. Ably guided by Supply Chain Manager Hans Hermann, we were astonished to see not only the degree of complexity of the plant and brewing process, but also the degree to which technology guides the whole process. After an interesting but thirst-inducing tour, we were treated to a beer tasting and a pairing of the various NBL brands with a variety of foods, presented by German beer sommelier Dorothea Wächtler. The food was great, as was the beer. We were hosted by NBL Managing Director Wessie van der Westhuizen and members of his management team, and we all ended the evening thoroughly impressed not only by the various brands of NBL, but also the management of the company and the exciting developments in the pipeline. Thanks to Wessie and the entire team that hosted us...we all had a great time and we are proud of a great Namibian company!
