Lukas Graham - Take the world by storm
Lukas Graham is a Danish pop and soul band comprising lead singer Lukas Forchhammer, drummer Mark Falgren, bassist Magnus Larsson, and keyboardist Morten Ristorp. The band released their first album, Lukas Graham, with labels Copenhagen Records and Then We Take The World in 2012.
The band released their next record (often referred to as the "Blue Album") on Copenhagen Records and Then We Take The World solely in Denmark and several other mostly European nations in 2015. It peaked at number one in Denmark and made it onto several other European charts as well. It featured the singles "Mama Said", "Strip No More" and "7 Years", the last of which peaked at number one on the charts for Denmark, Italy, Austria, Belgium, and Sweden. The band made their United States television debut playing "7 Years" on a 10 December 2015 episode of Conan and the song peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 list. In March 2016, Lukas Graham performed "7 Years" on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The band has also performed the song on Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Robbie Williams - Love my life
The returning boyband escapee’s latest album is almost like a variety performance, featuring something for all the family – but that’s just not how pop music works any more.
These vaguely modern dabblings aside, Williams remains content to stick with sounds that have served him well in the past. Love My Life, which Williams hopes might pull off a similar trick to Angels, is earnest 90s piano balladry with self-help lyrics so banal it could have featured on, of all things, a Gary Barlow solo album
Adele - Water under the bridge
"Water Under the Bridge" is a song recorded by English singer and songwriter Adele for her third studio album 25 (2015). The song was written by Adele Adkins and Greg Kurstin, while production of the song was provided by the latter. It was released as the fourth single from the album on 4 November 2016. Lyrically, the track is about a critical point in a relationship and trying to figure out if your partner is in or out. Musically, the song is a mid-tempo disco-pop song featuring an electro-drum beat and a tropical, trip hop riff.
KT Tunstall - Hard Girls
In "Hard Girls," KT Tunstall goes up against former Spice Girl Mel C, also known as Sporty Spice, in a driving race. The single appears on Tunstall's latest album Kin.
In the clip, Tunstall prepares for the race. Her competition's face is obscured by her helmet before they get into their respective cars. The pair race through the dirt-covered track before tying for First Place. After exiting their cars, Mel C reveals herself and the pair celebrate with bottles of champagne afterwards.
The empowering "Hard Girls" is the second single off Kin, following up "Maybe It's a Good Thing." The album directly follows her Golden State EP, which was released in early June. Tunstall also contributed songs to the soundtrack for the film Bad Moms released this summer.
