Adele - Send My Love (To Your New Lover)
"Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" is a song by British singer Adele from her third studio album, 25 (2015). It was released on 16 May 2016 by XL Recordings as the third single from the album. The song was written by Adele, Max Martin and Shellback, while production was provided by the latter two. A pop song, the singer herself describes it as a "happy you're gone" song dedicated to an ex-boyfriend. "Send My Love" managed to appear on various international charts following the release of 25; following its release as a single, it has so far peaked at number 6 in the UK, number 19 in the US and number 16 in Canada.
Hasley - Castle
"Castle" is a song by American singer and songwriter Halsey. Originally recorded for her debut studio album, Badlands (2015), it was re-recorded for the soundtrack to the 2016 film The Huntsman: Winter's War. It was released on April 9, 2016, by Capitol as a promotional single from the record. "Castle" was co-written by Halsey and the track's producer, Lido. The song was used in commercials and in the teaser trailer to promote the film. The song has background vocals of a choir singing Agnus Dei.
Bastille - Good Grief
The Bastille guys are back! The British band had their big breakthrough in 2013 when their single ‘Pompeii’ became a worldwide hit. They continued to release oustanding singles like ‘Laura Palmer’ and ‘Things We Lost In The Fire’ from their first record Bad Blood. Around a year later they surprised with their remix mash up release ‘Of The Night’, which became a big hit in the UK too. After that, things got rather silent, but now they are finally back for the first official single, taken from their upcoming second album. The track is called ‘Good Grief’ and it sure sounds like a hit.
DNCE - Toothbrush
Joe Jonas has seen more highs and lows in the music industry than most musicians twice his age. In 2006, just before he turned 17, his band with brothers Nick and Kevin, the Jonas Brothers, released their debut album. From then until 2013, the sibling act was a Disney-bred phenomenon, selling out stadiums, starring in movies and TV shows, and selling 17 million albums worldwide.
DNCE made their debut with the groovy, semi-ridiculous "Cake by the Ocean." The infectiously upbeat tune has become a viral success, aided by a video directed by Jonas' supermodel girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, and starring social-media-star-turned-male-model the Fat Jew. "Cake" is a perfect preview of the band's debut EP, SWAAY, out today, which features equally catchy, quirky songs like "Pay My Rent" and "Toothbrush."
