In honor of Black History Month, the U.S. Embassy’s Public Affairs Section will be hosting a movie-and-discussion series on Fridays in February.  The movies are free and open to the public.

On Wednesday 21 February at 7pm, the Warehouse Theatre Windhoek will host the Standup Comedy Night, featuring South African comedian Al Prodgers and Namibian Slick The Dick (STD)1, both professional veterans in the comedy circuit.

23 February: Namibian Dessert Queen @ The FNCC

Join us at the FNCC on February 23rd as we welcome on the Acoustic Friday stage the juicy and voluptuous Priscilla the Dessert Queen!

Priscilla is a passionate, free spirited artist who loves singing and interacting with people.  With a Diploma in Banking but a heart for music, she comes from a musical family, from both sides of her heritage. Her debut single “Malva Pudding” was a resounding hit, and was followed by her debut album in July 2016. Priscilla loves to share songs with her audience that will touch their hearts and make them feel through her voice and interpretation.

24 February: Wanderers Squash Club L'Anza Ladies Squash Open Day

Wanderers Squash Club will once again be hosting its ladies open day on Saturday the 24th of February 2018.

The club hosted this event for the first time in 2017, with 54 ladies attending, out of which 33 of them joined as members of the club and 7 of them are now playing competitively in tournaments.

26 February - 22 March: Julia Hango Exhibition @ the FNCC

Julia Hango’s exhibition : Manifestations of the Self - A new chapter opens at FNCC on Monday 26 January 

The self-taught artist Julia Hango presents to you the ever-changing intuitive mind in creation with her art, the process and the forms this manifestation has taken over the last four years. The exhibition will take place at the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre from the 26 February to the 22 March 2018 in the FNCC Gallery. Julia Hango has exposed her work already in three solo exhibitions and several collective exhibitions.
