Every Wednesday: Public Drumming Circle

Drum Café Namibia and Joe's Beerhouse presents: A Drumming Circle, every Wednesday at the boma of Joe's Beerhouse! 

Anyone can join. A limited number of djembe drums will be provided, but if you are an avid drummer we suggest you bring your own drum.

Please note that we will start on time and finish on time, so we advise you arrive punctually to enjoy a full hour of facilitated drumming.

23 August: Ras Sheehama

Namibia's favourite Reggae artist is up on stage with his full band on Wednesday 23 August from 9 - 11pm.  Hugely energetic, Ras captivates his audiences with his stage presence.  

24 August: Robin Auld and Wendy Oldfield LIVE

Wendy Oldfield and Robin Auld combine a mix of djembe, soul vocals, harmonica, stompboard and African blues guitar stylings to create a fresh roots sound. Both veterans of the South African touring circuit with many hit songs such as "All of Woman" and "Acid Rain", their collaboration is uplifting and upbeat with roots versions of their old hits along with their contemporary catalogue. 

25 August: Ongoma Live!

Ongoma is back at the Boiler Room with a beautifully souped-up sound in the form of brand new state-of-the-art marimbas, hand built in Zimbabwe. Marimba means “Voice of wood”.

25 August: Roadhouse Blues

The Roadhouse Blues, Namibia’s only blues band which combines effectively different popular international blues-rock styles, such as Southern Texas Blues, Chicago (Urban) Blues and contemporary British Blues-Rock is having a solo show this month!

Dragan’s Lair is a Documentary which, guided by Cape Talk radio host John Maytham, takes the viewer on a journey of Dragan’s grooming of a very young Lucy, her family, including sister Sophy and mum, Virginia.

Singer, songwriter and performing artist Bongani was born and raised in the streets of Katutura.
