31 August: Hunters United Against Poaching Gala Dinner

The Hunters United Against Poaching, HUAP Trust, herewith cordially invites you to the official opening of our Anti-Poaching Fundraising Auction and Gala kicking off with the sculpting of a life sized rhino at the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre on Monday, 24 July, at 11h00. The Honourable Pohamba Shifeta, Minister of Environment and Tourism, will address the public with opening remarks, followed by live entertainment of Namibian legend Elemotho.

The HUAP Trust is honoured to have the support of world renowned sculptor Gé Pellini to sculpt a life-sized rhino from a block of exquisite Karibib marble.  The work of art will come to life between 24 July to 24 August on the terrace at the FNCC, whilst being covered by various media and will be open to public viewing throughout the entire process.

A number of scholars and students unite in creating awareness of our precious wildlife by crafting animals in whichever medium preferred.

Please come and support the artist in conjunction with the Namibia Professional Hunting Association, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Franco Namibian Cultural Centre, schools and colleagues in our efforts against poaching.

The highlight of this outstanding project will be a Gala Dinner and live auction on the 31st of August 2017 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort where this handcrafted life-sized rhino amongst a variety of hunts, exquisite jewellery specifically designed for this evening, selected wines, nature excursions, to name but a few, will be auctioned off. The HUAP Trust invites international live-stream bidding via www.huaptrust.com.

Please invest in the future of our valuable wildlife by supporting this conservation and anti-poaching initiative.

Public viewing at the FNCC as from 24 July is open for everyone and free of charge.

Tickets for our Gala Dinner are available at N$1 000.00 per person or N$9 000.00 for a corporate table (seating 10).  Kindly contact Mona +264 81 162 0977 or Maria +264 81 474 3960 This email address is being protected from spambots.
